Remi has worked at the Grill since 2021 with a brief intermission when the collective closed. They have been back since June of ‘23 & you’ll most likely be greeted by them on the weekends💫💫✨⭐️🤍

✨What does Grill Magic mean to you?

“It’s that thing that draws me here. On the worst of days and the best of days. It’s the family, it’s the history, it’s the roots, the music, the counter culture, it’s the graffiti in the bathroom. It’s hard to explain. Can you even explain it?”

✨What’s your most-used phrase at work?

“‘Thank you’ but also ‘meow’ (coworkers only)”

✨Favorite monthly special from the last few months?

“I always enjoy trying the specials, but I thought the carrot cake pancake of this month was particularly decadent.”

✨How would you describe the vibe of the Little Grill to someone who’s never been before?

“Vibrant, unexpected, peculiar, diverse. It’s an old place, full of spiffy updates and innovations for a small space (...) But the love is big. Lots of joy too. So many kinds of people come through.”

✨Favorite genre of music to have on during the day?

“I appreciate a mix of things. I like hearing everybody’s favorites shuffle through (...) Love a lil house beat during a rush. Some shoegaze, alt indie rock... The local bands. Big thief. Adrianne Lenker for the right crowd.”

✨If you were to write a book about the Little Grill, what’s the title and what would it be about? :)

“I wish I’d written down all the funniest/craziest things that have happened at work over the years. I’ve joked about making a comic book to tell those stories. Probably call it ‘A Lil’ Comic’.”
